Let's get to know Mr. Kirk Redford and welcome him to Cook Elementary. He will be joining our 6th grade team. My name is Kirk Redford. I have been a teacher for 16 years. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in education from Weber State University. In my spare time I spend time with my wife and son. My son and I enjoy playing Pokémon cards. I also enjoy reading, playing guitar, and 3D printing.

This will be my third year working for the HeadStart program. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2022 with my bachelor's in child development. I am excited to be at Cook because I went to K-2 at Cook when I was little. I am excited to be back at my old stomping grounds!

Let's get to know Calli Perez and welcome her to Cook Elementary! I'm Ms. Calli! I have worked with Head Start for 5 years. I live in Clearfield. At home I have a husband, 5 kids ages 20-10, and a red border collie mix named Ben. This summer I went to Houston, Texas for the first time. I love trying new hobbies. My current favorite is baking. My youngest son has autism so I'm a big advocate for Social/Emotional learning, and I'm so excited to be a part of Cook Elementary's school family!

I graduated from Utah State University and have been working as an educator for over 23 years. My passion lies in helping students develop a love for reading and writing. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, baking delicious treats, and reading historical novels. I'm eager to collaborate with teachers, students, and families to create a vibrant and engaging literacy environment. I look forward to supporting and inspiring our young readers and writers!

This fall we are excited to welcome some new faces to our school. Let's get to know Mrs. Kayla Taylor and welcome her to Cook Elementary! Hello Cook Elementary! My name is Kayla Taylor, and I am your new fourth grade teacher. I am so excited to be a part of your amazing community and have heard wonderful things about all of you! This year will be my tenth year of teaching and my seventh year of teaching fourth grade. I started my career in Cache County School District after I graduated from Utah State University. Go Aggies! I have been at Layton Elementary in Davis School District for the last six years. I have a wonderful husband who is also in education and will be at Syracuse High School this year as their administrative intern. I'm also a mom to my wonderful four-year-old daughter who will be in preschool this year. In my free time I love to read, sing, play video games, and be with my awesome family! I love teaching with all my heart! I can't wait to create and build connections with your families and students this school year.
