Mission League is a global competition through Mission IO (previously Infini-D Lab) where any elementary or middle school class can compete on one mission with two difficulty levels. Normally, missions are based on grade-specific subject matter; but competition missions are even more about skills and the students’ ability to work together as a class and solve really complex problems together as a team. Engagement from every single participating student is critical to mission success and high placement on the leaderboard.
Mrs. Free has been leading our classes through Mission Leagues these last few weeks and the results are in!
Drum roll......
The top class at Cook Elementary in the K-1st grade category is Mrs. Flint’s class with a ranking of 8th out of 60 competing classes.
The top class at Cook Elementary in the 2nd-3rd grade category was Mrs. Meadows class with a ranking of 4th out of 99 competing classes.
The top class at Cook Elementary in the 4-9th grade category was Mrs. Wright’s class with a ranking of 5th out of 203 competing classes.
Way to go Cook Cougars and special thanks to Mrs. Free and her dedication in helping our students to grow, learn, and succeed all while having fun.

Cook Elementary Families ~ We have another busy week ahead, and this newsletter has all the details about Penny Wars, STEM Olympiad tryouts, and the BOGO Book Fair. We encourage our students to come on time and stay all day to help their teams with the Attendance Competition. So far, the five classes on the "Attendance Avengers" team are in the lead, with the "Chefs, Because we Cook" team a close second. Special thanks to Peck Orthodontics and our awesome PTA for sponsoring Donuts with Grownups this Friday. Thanks, as always, for supporting our school.

We hope Spring Break has been a chance to recharge. School resumes tomorrow, and we will begin the final 7-week stretch of the school year. We're proud of our students' accomplishments and hope families can encourage them to do their very best on upcoming RISE Assessments and Acadience benchmarks. Our attendance competition will also begin, so by arriving on time and staying all day, students can help their class and team contribute to the overall score. Cook Cougars are AWESOME!
