Today, our students had the wonderful opportunity to welcome author McCall Hoyle to our school! McCall shared her experiences as an author, talked about the importance and joy of reading, and even gave students a glimpse into the world of training dogs.
As a sixth-grade teacher, mom, author, and devoted dog lover, McCall brought a unique perspective that connected with our students. Her hopeful, heart-warming middle grade books—including Stella, Just Gus, Millie, and Forever Ripley—are part of Shadow Mountain Publishing’s empathy-building line of books.
Our students left the visit inspired to read more, write their own stories, and perhaps even become authors someday. We are grateful to McCall for sharing her time, stories, and passion with our school community!
