Mrs. Olney's class stepped back in time as they got to learn about the history of the earth. Friday, they became paleontologists for the day. During their hands-on excavation, students used special tools such as brushes and wooden picks to carefully uncover hidden fossils. Just like real paleontologists, they had to work slowly and patiently to avoid damaging their discoveries. They practiced observing details, making predictions about what they found, and discussing their ideas with classmates. Way to go, First Graders! You rock!
